Tim has been working with Ocean Arks International since 2000. From 2000-2002 he was OAI's ecological design field technician on the Berea, Kansas 10,000 gallons/day Eco-Machine project. He is also an OAI board member.
Tim received his BFA from New York University and his MS in natural resource planning from the University of Vermont.
He has over a decade of experience in senior-level management and consulting in sustainability and ecological design and implementation. His expertise includes energy conservation within the built environment, building performance, renewable energy, sustainability outreach and education and sustainability development.
He is a principle at Naupag River Consulting in Brooklyn, New York. He previously served as the Director of Sustainability for Unilite Energy Solutions in New York City. He also co-founded Hot Design, a thermal solar energy firm in Hudson, NY.
He has worked on several rainwater harvesting projects in the greater New York City area as well as many different ecological restoration projects for private homes and properties.
He co-taught a class in Ecological Design with Dr. Todd at Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Vermont.
He has fifteen years of experience in the construction and building trades.
